Great Features but leaks quickly

I bought my washer about 3 months ago as part of a washer/dryer combo. I loved having the features and time delay options as well as the ability to start from my phone. However the washer did start to leak very soon after I bought it. A quick self-clean cycle and rebalancing seems to have fixed the issue but I was a little upset that it needed to be cleaned so quickly after being bought.

Love the Speed Wash

This machine has all the bells and whistles including Smart technology. At the recommendation of a representative I do most of my laundry using the SPEED WASH setting. There is no compromise in the quality of the wash but the wash time is only 15 minutes. This is very useful when I have to flip my AIRBNB apartment in a short period of time.

Ive had this for several months and finally determined that it was destroying my clothes. The washer is causing so much pilling all the clothes look old and faded. Even using the gentle cycle damage is still happening. Customer Service will not offer any replacement and only calling repair services who claims the machine is fine even when I show them the damaged clothing. They wouldnt even change the drum to see if maybe there is a defect with it.

When it works its great

We started off loving this machine unfortunately we are now thoroughly disappointed and frustrated owning a LG. The machine started shutting off and displaying a uS or U5 error code. We had a technician come out and he replaced the vibration sensor this worked for a week. The the same error appeared. He then replaced the control board this did not fix the problem. After a couple of hours he finally ascertained that the motor is the problem. After 5 calls to LG I was finally able to convince them to send a new motor. I am going on 6 weeks without a washer still waiting for the motor to arrive. Dealing with customer service is another nightmare. I love the washer when it works but that is now a distant memory.

Accessible for Visually Impaired

I chose this washing machine because of the phone app. All washers seem to be touch panel now and that is an issue given I cant see at all. The fact this one works with an app is great. I am also able to tap the controls on the machine directly I have them labeled with the app open and it tells me what is being changed. My only issue is that sometimes it gets unbalanced for no noticeable reason or doesnt rinse thoroughly. Love all the settings.

End of the shakes

We ordered our LG washer and dryer from Cosco and the delivery staff did not properly set up the appliances. We werent aware of the matter until we started to use to the washer small load and it couldnt stop shaking. My husband and I had to literally get on top of it to prevent it hitting the wall. LG sent a rep over Julian who quickly assessed the matter and explained what the issue was delivery staff didnt add a missing piece when hooking up the washer. Julian proceed with adding the piece had us load the washer in front of them and issue resolved. He was very patience and kind with us and educated us on high energy appliances mean and on detergent use weve been using so much and now are saving due to this knowledge- thanks LG

Dependability is Still There

I had an LG years ago that I loved. My housemate talked me into another major brand which required numerous repairs and finally thankfully died recently. I was successful in my campaign to return to my beloved LG. While its sleeker looking and has a few more bells and whistles the dependability still seems to be there In the weeks that Ive had this LG its been relatively easy to operate I DONT like that you cant set a cycle as your default cycle without downloading an app. that allows this feature. and my clothes come out clean and ready to dry wrinkle free. Im looking forward to years of use with my LG

I have to get on my knees to empty this machine. I like a top load better but this is the machine that my new house had. I had that I have to spread the rubber and dry it out and leave the door open so it doesnt get mildewy and smell. Too much extra work

requesting your repairs 2x in less than a year

We had our previous LG washer and dryer for 10 years before we had a water leak and it was just repairing a hose. This set is not even a year old and the LE light on a second time. Second repair request and it says LOCKED rotor when I look up your video on YouTube. Is this now going to be a recurring issue with the washer? Dryer has had no problems just the washer. Add to it your repair guy was out not a month ago for the same issue.

Mold buildup and electrical problems

I bought the washer and dryer set when we first built our house within a few years the rubber ring had to be replaced because of mould build up. Now another year later we have more mold around the ring and has a build up of mold and junk on the exterior of the drum and beyond the rubber seal that I cant access to clean. Love my new washer

Have been using my new washer now for nearly 2 months and have found it a joy to wash clothes again. Cleans well is much quieter than my last top loading washer. Easy to select different washing options. The clothes come out clean and are spun nearly dry.

Hard working wash. LG warranty service outstanding

Have used our washer since last June of last year. The features we use are great and weve been very happy with it. Had a minor issue with the latch recently. Went online to LG warranty repairs and the quick response and local service people who contacted us and responded to every text was outstanding. I was impressed by the service. We have many LG products appliances TVs that we use every day.

Beautiful design Gets the job done

Ive only had the washer for a couple of months. My clothes come out clean but some items do come out feeling wetter and heavier than Id like mainly when I wash towels and mix in smaller items like washcloths. I wish there was a second spin without another rinse so I could get the towels rung out better. Im not sure why some items feel barely wet when other items are still saturated. Overall I do like my new washing machine. The clothes do come out clean which is most important Im still getting used to it and learning as I go along.

Very disappointed in controls and menu system.

We bought this washer-dryer combo at the end of January and are very disappointed with the menu controls. They are tough to read due to not being backlit. We have good lighting in our laundry room but each option only has a small light next to our under the menu you are trying to select. We need a flashlight to see what needs to be done. This is an expensive system and my wife has cried several times out of frustration. We feel stuck and dont know how to resolve this issue.

Excellent replacement

Without trying to I upgraded during my replacement. Easy to use excellent instruction manual love that it notifies my phone instead of the loud annoying buzzer. Was one of the higher rated units on Consumer Reports for the most reasonable price. Glad I gave it a try

The amazing number of cycles with the great choices of options on each cycle are surprisingly simple to use Great capacity takes my huge comforter with ease and the spin cycle is so smooth my cat sleeps on top of it while its running. My last washer failed because of a clogged filter that could not be accessed without a technician to disassemble the machine. This model can be cleaned from a small door on the front. Brilliant design improvement. After I washed everything dirty I went through the house and washed everything in storage as well. My whole house smells clean. And the extra added special little treat was the cheerful little sea chanty that plays when the machine cycle is finished. It always makes me happy to hear the laundry is done

I bought this washer 5 weeks ago and it took us 2 weeks to figure out how to use it properly because the manual doesnt tell you that to change from warm to cold for example the start/pause button must be blinking and there is no mention of the steam cycle and how and where to use it

Not the best designed washer.

Bought this unit not too long ago. At first it was great Now it likes to leak on the floor and LG will do nothing about it. The design to pump Suds if there is too much detergent or you have soft water out the back of the washer is the most ridiculous design I have seen/heard of. My floors are worth way more than this washing machine and cant believe theyd do that. Honestly getting different brand soon that wont pump suds and water out of the BACK of the unit that you cannot see and no alerts or warnings. OH And they want you to run a tub clean cycle every three loads with other detergent There is NOTHING engery efficient about having to do that and I am very dissatisfied.

Replaced my old 15 plus year old LG washer with a new LG washer. Hope this new unit provides as many good years of service and why I stayed with LG. Never had one issue with the previous and new model has many extras including an app to keep track of service intervals which is a great help
