HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPAIR SERVICE

I am very dissatisfied with customer service. I got cut off by the chat bot 3 times and then finally got a hold of an actual person for my refrigerator that stopped working. They told me it was under warranty and that someone would call me within 5-7 business to set up repair. I still have not heard from anyone 14 days later I finally had to call Sears Home Repair and have actually had someone come out and diagnose the repair and order the parts. Since this repair is taking so long I had no choice but to go out and buy another refrigerator so another $850 out of pocket plus the $1000 its costing me to go through Sears instead of getting it repaired through the warranty This is so disappointing and unsat

Overall it is a great refrigerator but the compressor died in less than a year we had extended warranty so it was covered but not something we would have expected. The fridge is spacious and most of the layout is well thought out. Im hoping mechanically this is last a while but that remains to be seen.

Poor Reliability from the Compressor

We love the look and design features are great. Freezer has lots of room water and ice in the door is awesome and the view window without opening the fridge is fun and very useful. Meets all the needs of a family of 5. With room for fresh foods leftovers and pizza boxes. The reliability is the issue. We have had our fridge 3 years and already a warranty claim on the compressor. This is a known issue for LG and we hope the new compressor design has the reliability addressed for LG but only time will tell. At this point I probably would not buy this fridge again for this reason and there are other brands consider more reliable.

I very had this refrigeratir for around 3 weeks now. While it has taken some time to get adjusted to I am loving it. I struggled with taking my condiments off the door and putting drinks in their place. Now that Im used to it it is so nice that the whole door doesnt have to be opened everytime we need a drink. The freezer has plenty of space. I am actually using my ice drawer as an organizer for my vegetables for now but plan on changing that if I need more ice for a reason. Im hoping I have this refrigeratir for a long time.

I have enjoyed this refrigerator for 2 years and then the compressor quit. It was disappointing but it was replaced after about a week of waiting for someone to fix it as the closest service center for LG is 2 hours away. Its been 2 weeks since fixing it and hoping that it will last a number of years without any more major issues.

Worked great for 3 yrs compressor bad

It worked until two weeks ago when the compressor began to fail. The company has a five year warranty on those parts but I have yet to receive a call or visit by a technician. Other than the repair company i found to make a service call and I PAID for. Three appointments made by the LG customer service has gone no where but with me sitting at home twiddling my thumbs waiting on a phantom visit or call. The warranty should be honored and a better system should be in place when their product fails.

Nice refrigerator but requires a lot of maint

I purchased this product on June 15 2022 from Best Buy and it was delivered to my home on June 24 2022. The refrigerator fan failed on June 22 2023 just under one year after the refrigerator was delivered to my home in my possession. I contacted LG and after some back and forth I informed them that the refrigerator was not a year old in my home and a repairman was sent out to replace the fan but only after I had to unplug it for 8 hours losing my food. After the fan was replaced the refrigerator has worked just like it was new. I changed the filters which can be expensive.

I have had the fridge just 7 months and we had to replace the freezer fan luckily we still have the warranty for the first year not sure how long it will last. My previous fridge lasted 15 years from a different brand hoping that we didnt make a mistake switching.

Lousy product customer service very difficult

Our unit is less than four years old already had problems with icemaker and now compressor bad within 3 1/2 years. Customer service was very hard to deal with numerous phone calls and lots of time placed on hold.

The tray in the freezer was broken within a year. I should have request the replacement under the warranty but I was too busy to do so and now the plastic drawer is totally broken. The doors are sometimes not closed tightly. I should have gotten the side by side refrigerator in stead.

Weve had this fridge for over 2 years and personally I wished I had gotten a side by side fridge. The fridge door always fails to close properly unless you be sure to push it closed and it seals. It seems like it may be the gasket but when I used LGs chat the rep S.p.A. there was no recall on the fridge and conveniently cut me off the chat before I could finish our conversation. So overall Im not impressed with this model.

I Love my new LG Refrigerator

I needed to replace my old refrigerator and looked a long time before I decided to purchase this LG. I went from a side by side to the 3 door and love having so much more room. This refrigerator has so many great features. My old refrigerator was top of the line when we purchased it but nothing compares to this model. I love the door in door changing the water filter is so easy and I do not need to turn off the water to do it. This is a very quite and awesome refrigerator.

Great if everything works properly.

Ive had this refrigerator for a little over a year. My refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing out of no where. Compressor doesnt seem to be working so i contacted LG Customer service. They were very nice and said a tech was going to come take a look at it. Hoping they can repair it so I can have my refrigerator back and running. Other than that this refrigerator is amazing. Love that it has 2 ice makers and I am able to view what i have inside through the window.

Lots of thoughtful new features and updates

We replaced an LG refrigerator from 2006 which held up for quite a while but developed many issues. Were happy to report that their current offering is much better constructed and incorporates a number of innovations. The shelving in our old unit was flimsy and broke easily. The new shelving seems much more durable. There is greater flexibility in the shelf arrangement which allows for less wasted space. It is nice to have access to ice both in the freezer compartment and though the in-door dispenser. The door-in-door feature is clever but Im still getting used to it. Some features like LED lighting are meant to reduce overall energy consumption. My primary concern with an appliance purchase is how many years I can get useful service from it. My understanding is that most applicances are designed to give 10 years of service so our previous LG refrigerator far exceeded that metric. We could have kept it in service longer but found the sale price for the new one to be irresistable. After one month of use we are hopeful that we can keep this one around for more than 10 years.

On less than 6 months the water filter compartment has been replaced 3 times due to leaks and closure issues. Both ice makers malfunction due to freezing lines . Currently waiting for another warranty service call that is taking over 30 days to schedule.

I have had my LG refrigerator for 10 months. At the ten month mark the evaporator fan motor went out rendering this unit completely useless. I immediately contacted LG so I could get it fixed under warranty only to find out that there is no authorized service center in my area. This was very maddening because before purchasing the unit their website showed there was. I guess LG doesnt find it important to keep their website updated. Its been almost a month now with no resolution in sight. I cant even put into words how angry and frustrated I am. For a month now Ive had to rely on coolers and ice to keep my perishables and medications safe. Im so past my breaking point that I ordered the part I needed from another supplier. This was of course after asking LG to send me the replacement with no response. Even though this LG refrigerator has all the nice features I wanted I could not in good conscious ever recommend this brand to anyone. In addition to the refrigerator the stove and microwave purchased at the same time have started to have intermittent issues. Those reviews are for another time. I ask you is it reasonable to be without a refrigerator for a month or more? Maybe if you purchase an LG you should have another brand as a backup.

We had this LG refrigerator for approximately a month now and so far it is working as expected. It has a lot of space the two ice machines are working great the water comes out fast and you can fill a bottle easily. We all like the door within the door which allows us access to milk drinks etc. without having to open the main doors. It was a little costly so I hope it continues to work five years from now as it does now. I did purchase the five-year warranty just in case. So far I would definitely recommend it.

WE bought this refrigerator a few months ago and love the convenience of the door in door. We store our most used items there and dont have to open the entire fridge to get creamers hot sauce milk or juice. I wish the shelves were more interchangeable. We dont have space for tall items inside the fridge. We had to remove a shelf and store it in the pantry. We tried to re-use the shelf we removed inside the fridge and it wont fit anywhere else. That is frustrating and annoying. There needs to be a better design so that you have one large space for tall containers. Otherwise this is a great french door refrigerator. The freezer is perfect for a small family.

Wonderful large refrigerator

I bought this almost two years ago and really love it. It is similar to a 3-door I had in my previous home. I especially love the door-in-door feature as I use it to store water bottles plus other beverages and a few condiments. I have also utilized the bottom ice maker when I was hosting a large party.
