I bought the unit 2 years ago. The ice maker is pouring water outside of where it should. The result is rust on the inside of the ice dispenser and elsewhere that I cannot see. The rust has found a way to escape by leaking out of the bottom of the tray by the dispenser. Maytag told me that they would not stand by their product as it was out of it's 1 year warranty. I will shop for my replacement at GE or LG.

This fridge is absolutely terrible. Food that is placed on the shelves towards the freezer side of the shelf will freeze. I have to throw out food every week because it becomes frozen. Even 16 0z water bottles and liquid medicine will freeze. Thanks to my extended warranty, I had multiple technicians out and the sensor was replaced in the fridge and freezer. However, even after replacement of the sensors, his equipment showed that the temperature readings were all over the place, ranging from 37 to 41. The fridge was set to 42 degrees. The last technician told me that there is a defect with this fridge and that I should not put any food in the areas that cause it to freeze. That means about 1/4 of the space in my fridge is not usable and how am I to control the fact that my kids go into the fridge and move the food around? It is absurd that there is good amount of space in my fridge that is simply not usable! I believe that the technician is correct about the defect bc my sister has the same fridge and she has this exact problem. I'm so disappointed with this purchase and I doubt that Maytag will do anything about this problem. I was advised to simply write a letter to their executive offices in Benton Harbor. It's really unfortunate bc I have always thought highly of Maytag and Whirlpool in general.

We bought this fridge about a month ago because our old fridge stopped keeping the food cool. This fridge is awesome! Everything works as it should, cold food is kept cold, and frozen food stays frozen. And the room! Wow! Almost too much room for my household of 3. The features are super nice, such as the quick cool option, and others. The ice maker is fantastic, and the controls are super easy to use as well.

We had a Samsung French Door with lower freezer drawer in Black to match our Whirlpool Electric Range. They are in great condition but we decided to go with all stainless steel so we bought this Maytag Side-by-Side. We are amazed at how much space is in the refrigerator and freezer/

I didn't realized how old and outdated our fridge was until we bough this one. Even though they were about the same size, this fridge is so mucho more spacious and well lit!
Also, it really is fingerprint-resistant, awesome!

We bought a Maytag refrigerator when we moved into our current home in 3/1999. It
stopped working in 3/2019 after 20 years- it was a very good refrigerator and we were happy with it. After checking out other brands at local stores we decided to buy Maytag brand again for our new refrigerator since for the same price when comparing with similar models from other brands, we find Maytag brand gives you
more for your money. We like internal layouts of both the freezer side and refrigerator side. We also like the new refrigerator has a separate compartment to store eggs like the old one, and the bins are also adjustable to store taller items. The new refrigerator is pretty quite all day long; occasionally it makes a little small noise which lasts around 10 sec when the compressor runs or when ice is made. This refrigerator has the ice maker as part of the freezer door and has a minor design flaw since the right edge of the ice maker is only 1/8 inch away from the edge that runs around the freezer door. This can cause the right edge of the ice maker to overlap/touch the edge that runs around the freezer door and can cause someone not to be able to close the freezer door. This can happen because plastic can expand overtime in winter/summer time. The gap between the right edge of the ice maker and the edge that runs around the freezer door should be at 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch wide like I see with other brands. If it does not this minor design flaw I would give this fridge a 5 stars.

I think the ice paddle should be easier to push compared to my old Kermore. I really like the size of ice compartment. I ice dispenser is to loud. Lastly the shelving should be more adjustable. I replaced this fridge with a 25 year old Kermore which was still working. I think this would be a great fridge if these changes were done.

called Maytag company and they said since someone had come, they would charge me $95 if they found nothing, what a great customer service on a new fridge!

I bought refrigerator in end of 26th Feb.' 2019, After installer left I found freezer door was rub with central bar, also refrigerator side pre set recommend temp. make some food get Freeze. we call service center they said you have to do aliment by your self this is not manufacture defect. if technician come it cost you $80.00/ hour. My question is if some one does not know how to do that, Does it Fare with Brand New Appliance.

Have had the refrigerator for less than a month. I like the ice maker & the doors are perfect for the space it's in. I can finally open the doors without hitting something. Never had stainless steel. So far, I'm content. Still in the testing stage. I like the air filter & water filter included. Lighting is much brighter with the LEDs than my previous fridge.

We like the refrigerator and are happy with this purchase. The only issue we have had is that the ice maker rotary wheel stopped moving at one point. We called service and by the time they called back ( 3 days later) it started working again. We hope it is not an intermittent thing that will happen again, but thank goodness for warranties, which all Maytag products come with! If I had to do it over again, I would have gotten the same refrigerator/freezer combo but slightly wider than this one. All & all, except for the ice maker incident, it preforms great, has adequate shelves & bins and is an attractive refrigerator for our kitchen.

This side by side has more useable space than the French door from a different manufacturer 3 years ago. Because I use a lot of condiments, I added another door shelf. I could never find or store things without moving everything around in my "old refrigerator. Now everything is handy and in plain sight. I love the freezer as well. I can organize my shelf by product - poultry, vegetables, breakfast foods, ice cream, etc). This helps keeps the stock rotated by date purchased rather than just thrown in where it might fit. I have had problems with the refrigerator temperature. The default temp freezes things even though I keep an ' air space' as instructed by service representative.

The water & ice despenser is the worst I've ever seen. The touch pad doesn't work most of the time. The water dispenses sooo slowly! This refrigerator is so noisy! The ice maker is loud, the motor is loud, and occasionally some little box inside the fridge starts making an awful loud noise. Also, I've had food to freeze while on the refrigerator shelves. When I call customer service I'm told that it could result in me paying a service fee. So, I'm afraid this is just a bad brand and im stuck with it.

I bought this 3-4 months ago. I wanted the Whirlpool 28cu. but it wasn't available for over a month and I couldn't wait. This frig. is made by Whirlpool and is the same size as my old frig. I really like this unit, especially the ice-maker. It is on the inside of the door and doesn't take up shelf space. It also has a 10 yr. warranty from the. company. I am very pleased with this unit.

I bought this from Lowes during 2018 Labor Day sale, the delivery was delayed by 2 months and since I had sold my Kitchenaid I lived out of a cooler. I patiently waited because I loved the handles. I read complaints the machine was loud, but mine is beyond loud because the Fresh Flow thing a ma jiggy rattles! I'll upload pics so you"ll see what I'm talking about. I had the delivery guys unpack the fridge in the street because I didn't want any dents and planned to refuse it if there were any. Silly me should'a, could'a plugged it in and looked inside...

We like our new fridge, led light make it so that is very bright inside. Innovative Ice maker in the door takes up less than half the space my old GE Profile fridge did. Lots more room on both sides of the fridge. Now on the opportunities: no pop can holder or egg holder on the door. Ice flies all over when you try to dispense it. Water flow/pressure is way lower. It takes forever to fill up a water cup. In summarry opportunities are something that we can live with so we are keeping the fridge.

This was a dream come true for me! It looks beautiful and is very large from outside. The inside shelves can be adjusted to fit what you need; my only semi-complaint is I feel like the freezer space is limited. There is a lot of space, you just need to keep re-adjusting what is there to make it all fit. The door shelves help but are limited in what they hold.

I bought this less than a year ago. From the beginning I didn't care for it. The side by side made it extremely difficult. There never seemed to be enough room in the fridge or freezer. I couldn't even fit a frozen pizza in. There wasn't enough room to move items around to get to something in the back. It always felt over crowded even though it was larger than my previous refrigerator. Anything on the top shelf of the refrigerator froze and it was extremely loud. I wish I had gone with a bottom freezer with a French door refrigerator on top. Sad to say, I don't recommend this.

It took a while finding this model but finally found it online. I love the ice cubes and the fact the bin is in the door providing extra freezer space. My only knock is the water dispenser drips after use due to a design flaw which requires a quick wipe off every time. Great frig!!
